Ceiling Fan Cleaning Tips

A home is, more often, a once in a lifetime financial decision that one takes. So, when it comes to the maintenance cost  of the property, they keep increasing over time.

And if we speak of the cleaning part of maintenance, it is a tiring task and risky as well to an extent.


Hence, here are a few tips to cleaning your ceiling fan careful and with good results.

  1. Turn the fan off before you start: The first step towards cleaning the fan is to put off the fan and let it come to rest.
  2. Clean your fan every week to keep your home dust free: cleaning fan regularly reduces the amount of dust in the room for more hygiene and dust-free room.
  3. Wear hand gloves and mask properly: dusting or cleaning the fan without proper mask on the face or without hand gloves can result in breathing problems or even cause itching due to the settled dust. Hence, wear hand gloves and mask properly.
  4. Use Step Ladder or stool to stand on: Reaching the ceiling without strong support can lead to dangerous falls. So, use step ladder or stool to stand on to clean the fan.
  5. Take Swiffer or feather duster extension or lamb wool cloth to wipe it off: Taking so much of an effort to clean the fan but without good result can be discouraging. Hence, ensure you use the Swiffers to clean the fan properly.
  6. Before cleaning, cover your furniture with clothes beneath the ceiling fan: don’t you think cleaning the fan at first and then cleaning the furniture will be a tiring work? So, in order to avoid double work, cover your furniture with clothes before cleaning.
